Poste hackathons are three-day innovation marathons, during which young start-uppers/digital talents compete with one another in creating solutions and prototypes that respond to some of the issues of interest to Poste.
The Poste Hack events, launched more than one year ago, have become a regular rendez-vous between Poste and the community of start-uppers. Seven editions have already been held inside the campus of the Talent Garden Poste Italiane in Rome and other Italian cities (Turin, at the Talent Garden Fondazione Agnelli; Milan, at the Talent Garden Calabiana; Cosenza, at the Talent Garden Cosenza) to foster the cross-pollination of ideas between local communities and digital talents.
The various units of Poste actively participate in all the days of the events: employees and participants exchange views on various issues and on their know-how, with a view to capturing new ideas.
So far, the 7 editions of the Poste Hack days have seen about 60 projects, over 300 young participants, roughly 100 Poste’s mentors, and many managers on the jury of each edition.
The Poste Hack 7 addressed the issue of innovation in Mobile and Digital Payments, with the goal of involving digital talents, young start-uppers, tech enthusiasts, and developers in designing innovative solutions for digital and mobile payment services.
