Born in Rome in 1968. Married with two children.

Graduated in Economics from Luiss University.

He began his career in Banca di Roma in 1992, in the finance department and then dealing with middle and long term treasurer’s office.

In 1996 he joined BNL Group taking care of financial derivatives trading.

In 1997 he moved on to Istituto Nazionale delle Assicurazioni taking charge of the Risk Monitoring Unit

In1998 he moved back to Banca di Roma as Head of Financial Risk Management.

In 2001 he joined Monte dei Paschi where he was, among other previous responsibilities, in charge of Treasury and Capital Management, being also member of several Boards of Directors.

Since September 2017 he has appointed Chief Financial Officer of PosteVita and Poste Assicura.
